Yurika Ishii is an Associate Professor at the National Defense Academy of Japan, and specialized in public international law. She was the Japan’s governmental expert for United Nations, Group of Governmental Experts on further effective measures for the prevention of an arms race in outer space from 2023 to 2024. She is the current member of Cabinet Office, Committee on Space Policies, Sub-Committee on Revision of Space Activities Law; Space Policy Committee, Sub Group on Space Security; and Subcommittee on International Space Station and International Space Exploration, Space Exploration and Utilisation Subcommittee.
